The problem with HP DV5 it was that I don’t have screen when I move the cover of the laptop. It is a problem with cover sensor( Lidswitch). As you can see in the video and the photo the problem of my customers needs a solution. So we search in circuit diagram and make a short in pins 1 to 3 with a wire so the 3V is always there. This is a repair that needs to be a good hardware technician.


The process of repair this Lidswitch sensor:

• We disassembly the laptop so I can see the power connector


• Then we make a short in PIN 1 to PIN 3 from right to left


• We test the device


• Then reassembly the device and inform my customer
